For people with dietary restrictions, eating out has always been a really difficult task. They have difficulty finding meals they can eat, and places where those meals are served. To solve this problem, we created PeaceMeal, which allows users to find meals that they can eat at nearby restaurants, and then locate those restaurants.
We had several different looks for the filter selection page, at the time we drew the sketches. We also sketched an idea for the watch, at this point - displaying pictures of the dish that was pulled up on the phone.
First time users will be taken to this screen to select their dietary restrictions and preferences. Initially, all the food types will be selected. Users can un-select single food type or an entire category. After selecting, users will tap on the “Complete” button to get to the Dish Feed Screen. Users can always come back to this screen to edit, however, this screen will not pop up after first used. This is because one’s dietary restrictions or preferences do not change too often.
On this screen, users can see a list of dishes that meets their dietary restrictions from nearby places ranked from the closest to the furthest.
For each card, there are four pieces of information:
Image of the dish
Name of the dish
Rating
Restaurant
Detailed information about the dish are listed on this screen. Information include:
Name of the dish
Rating
Restaurant Name
Restaurant Address
Price
Ingredients
Dish Description (If provided)
Navigation button
The navigation button on the top right starts the Google map and navigates to the restaurant.
When the user tap on the navigation button, the app takes them to the Google Map application and navigates them to the restaurant that contains that meal
Once the user filter out their dietary restrictions, the watch refreshes to show a feed of all the dishes that are available nearby.
